Anemometer Loan Program The program lends 50m anemometer towers to property
owners for wind resource assessments, providing data for commercial sized wind turbines. The property owner is responsible

KB Energy has provided
consultation services as well as installation of the entire fleet of 20, 30 and 50 meter towers for the Wyoming
Business Council's Anemometer Loan Program since its inception in 2005. The program helps landowners collect data at
on their land and site of choice with help in precise tower location from KB. 50 meter towers include anemometers at
50m, 30m and 10m, Wind Vanes at 49m and 9m, Temperature data collected at 3m and a Secondwind Nomad2 data logger with 32MB
data card. All towers are equipped with PV panel and 12 volt battery w/charge regulator. Data is pulled by the
landowner monthly and sent into the WBC who then sends all data cards collectively to Intermountain Labs (IML) in Sheridan,
WY.
